Women's Soccer stumbles against LSU-Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, La. - Wiley University women's soccer could not keep pace with Louisiana State University of Alexandria in a 6-0 loss Wednesday at Generals Field.
The Lady Wildcats finish their opening road trip 2-3. They were outshot 21-1 and 14-1 in shots on goal. Alexse Orozco was the only one who got a shot off. Wiley fell behind in the second minute and gave up goals in the 43rd and 44th minutes.

Two minutes into the second half, the game was delayed for more than 30 minutes due to weather. After play resumed, Wiley's hopes of a second-half comeback were dashed when it allowed LSU-Alexandria to score in the 60th and 63rd minutes.

Mariana Quijano made her seventh start and did all she could to keep the Lady Wildcats in the game. She made saves on six shots with five in the first half. Destiny Allison relieved her in the 68th minute and made a save.

The teams played a clean match with only 13 fouls called and no cards issued. The Lady Wildcats will return to Pemberton Field on Wednesday to face Texas Wesleyan University.
