Women's Soccer heads to Austin College
The Wiley University women's soccer team heads to Austin College for a 6 p.m. match on Thursday at the Dr. Jack Pierce Memorial Soccer Complex.

Wiley is coming off its first victory since 2018 - defeating Tougaloo College 18-1 on Sunday. The win puts the Lady Wildcats into a tie for first in the Continental Athletic Conference. Deyanara Hernandez scored five goals and earned CAC Offensive Player of the Week. Yajaira Hernandez recorded a hat trick. Esmeralda Vazquez and Samantha Rodriguez scored two goals. The Lady Wildcats are aiming to secure back-to-back victories for the first time since October 18-22, 2018, when they won three consecutive matches.
The Roos (4-0-1) have won their last three matches and outscored their opponents 11-1. Jetta Broquard, Myles McGaha and Shakira Williams have scored two goals each. Rylie Balderas leads the team with four assists. McGaha leads in shots with 11 and shots on goal with five. Kenedie Lane has started four matches, posting a 3-0-1 record with three shutouts. She has stopped 15 of the 16 shots she faced.
