Hernandez claims CAC Offensive Player of the Week

After setting the Wiley University program record for most goals in a single game and leading the Lady Wildcats to their first victory since 2018, Deyanara Hernandez wins the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for September 2-8.

Hernandez scored five goals to lead Wiley's 18-1 rout over Tougaloo College in a Continental Athletic Conference match on Sunday, which broke the program record for most goals and largest margin of victory. Three of her goals were in the first half. Her performance gives her six goals for the season, which is tied for the lead in the conference.

This is Wiley's first weekly award since 2018 and first offensive player of the week since 2015. The Lady Wildcats will head to Austin College for a 6 p.m. match on Thursday.
