Women's Basketball set for Regular Season Finale Clash against Virgin Islands

The Wiley University women's basketball team visits the University of the Virgin Islands for its regular season finale in a Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference game at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center.

The game will be streamed on the Wiley University Channel on the Urban Edge Network. Fans can download the app to their favorite streaming devices. Live statistics will also be available. The link is listed in the women's basketball schedule on wileyathletics.com.

The Lady Wildcats (12-12, 8-8) are in fifth in the conference standings and hoping to move up before next week's 2025 Hope Credit Union HBCUAC Championship. It dominated the University of the Virgin Islands 86-46 at Alumni Gymnasium.

Wiley is coming off losses to Southern University at New Orleans and Dillard University. Celebria Peacock led the team at SUNO with 18 points and four steals. Mary Leday led the team on Saturday with 16 points on seven field goals.

Virgin Islands (0-16, 0-15) is looking to finish the regular season strong. Wednesday will be the first time they stepped on the court since playing Philander Smith University on February 4. Maliah LaCour recorded a double-double in the January 18 game at Wiley with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Ashukamay'ah Phillips followed with 15.
