Women's Basketball hosts Texas College
The Wiley University women's basketball team continues its opening homestand as it welcomes Texas College at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Alumni Gymnasium.

The Lady Wildcats (2-1) are coming off a 68-61 Homecoming victory over Jarvis Christian University on Saturday. They overcame a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Jamiya Eaddy put up 32 points, hitting 10 of 17 shots, including six of 10 from 3-point range. Kiersten Harris put up a career-high 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
Wiley University forced 24 turnovers with 16 the result of steals. Ashunti Cooper posted a career-high seven. The Lady Wildcats held Jarvis Christian to a 36.9 shooting percentage and outrebounded them 50-44.
Texas College (1-0) opened the season on October 28 with a 77-72 victory over Arlington Baptist University. It outshot the Patriots 39.7 to 38.2 percent. Arlington Baptist outrebounded the Lady Steers 34-28. The turnover battle went in favor of Texas College 19-13. Te'Aire Hambrick led Texas College with 30 points, hitting on 10 of 21 shot attempts. Cree Mclemore followed with 11 points. Serenity Jackson grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
Tuesday will mark the 31st meeting against the Lady Steers with the earliest matchup dating back to the 1991-92 season. The Lady Wildcats have controlled the series winning 21 of 30, including two games last season.
