
Jackson wins GCAC Player of the Week
After leading the Wiley College women's basketball team to a victory over Centenary College of Louisiana, Kayja Jackson wins Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for November 28-December 4.
Jackson led all scorers with 21 points off the bench – which was one point shy of her career-high. She also contributed four rebounds and three steals. Through nine games, Jackson ranks in the top 10 of the GCAC with 13.2 points per game. She is closing in on the top 10 in program history in career rebounds with 300.
This is the third consecutive week and fourth time overall that a Lady Wildcat won the award. Diamond Hawthorne won last week, Jay'lann Myles won for November 14-20 and Kaitlyn Davis won for October 24-30.
The Lady Wildcats will rematch with Arkansas Baptist College on Monday.
