Men's Track and Field open 2025 Indoor Schedule
The Wiley University men's indoor track and field team will begin the 2025 Indoor season at the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Indoor Challenge on Saturday at the University of Houston's Yeoman Fieldhouse.
Live Results are available. This is one of two meets the Wildcats will compete in. On February 14 it will head to Samford University's Bulldog Invitational. Those who surpass the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) A or B qualifying standards will compete in the 2025 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championship in Gainesville, Florida, from February 27 to March 1.
The Wildcats return eight from last season's team, including 60-meter hurdle national championship qualifier Ronald Garrett. Head coach Christopher McConnell, entering his first season, brought in three recruits: Caleb Benefield from Alvin, Texas; Kelvin Jackson Jr. from Hempstead, Texas, and Tilon Sinette from Port Arthur Memorial High School.
Wiley will compete against schools from various levels in the National Collegiate Athletic Association and track clubs. Field events start at 9:30 a.m. with the weight throw and running events begin at noon with the mile-run. The 4 x 400-meter mixed relay will conclude the meet.
The Wildcats will not only be focused on gaining qualifiers for the NAIA National Championship but also preparing for their upcoming outdoor season this spring.
