Men's Track and Field open season at J.D. Martin Invitational
The Wiley University men's track and field team will compete for the first time on Saturday at the University of Oklahoma's J.D. Martin Invitational.

Field events will start at This is the third time in the last four seasons which the track and field team has competed in indoor meets. The Wildcats return 11 athletes from last season's team which finished runner-up at the 2023 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championship.
Tyvonne Allen was a 2023 NAIA National Championship qualifier in the 400-meter dash and also ran on the 4 x 400-meter relay team with Joseph Levier III and Micah Ruben. He was also the GCAC champion in the 400-meter hurdles and the 4 x 400-meter relay. Xavier Hutchinson won the javelin throw at the GCAC Championship.
Head coach LaMark Carter, who is entering his fourth season with the program brought in 11 new athletes, including Jaylon Donson, Christian Lacy and Jaden Cole who ran on the cross country team in the fall.
The Wildcats will compete against both National Collegiate Athletic Association and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletic institutions.
