Bio

Malik Cooper joined the Wiley College men's basketball coaching staff in August 2023 after graduating from Louisiana Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. 

He played three seasons with the Wildcats - helping them advance to the NCAA Division III American Southwest Conference Championship Game in 2021 and the Red River Athletic Conference game in 2022. He was an All-RRAC Second Team selection in 2021-22 after averaging 11.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Cooper was also selected to the All-Tournament Team. 

Before playing at Louisiana Christian University, Cooper played two seasons at Southwestern Christian College. In his sophomore season, he averaged 12.5 points per game and earned Second Team All-Conference. Cooper played for Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, La. He earned First Team All-District and First Team All-City.
