Johnson repeats as GCAC Player of the Week

After scoring over 20 points in three games and helping Wiley University to three victories, Delor Johnson wins his second consecutive Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week award for November 6-12.

Johnson averaged 25 points and five rebounds per game last week. He scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds in a win over Texas College on Tuesday. Johnson put up 25 points, five rebounds and two assists in a victory over Arkansas Baptist on Thursday. On Saturday, He scored 30 points in a win at North American University for his second game scoring 30 or more. For the week, he shot 55.6 percent from the field. Johnson has scored 20 or more in five straight games. He leads the GCAC with 25.8 points per game and ranks in the top 15 of the NAIA.

This is the third GCAC weekly honor won by the Wildcats this season. Demarius Pitts earned Newcomer of the Week for October 30-November 5. Wiley is 4-2 and visits Texas College on Friday.
