Marissa Neal, Volleyball

Marissa Neal made her debut against Mid-America Christian University on August 23, 2019. She played all 94 sets and recorded 157 kills. Her career-high of 13 came against Langston on August 24, 2019. Neal led the team with 31 aces – posting a career-high six against Alcorn State University on October 29, 2019. She added 171 digs, reaching double figures in three matches. Her career-high of 11 came against Texas College on October 9. Neal earned Second Team All-Conference.
In high school, she played volleyball and softball at All Saints Episcopal School in Fort Worth, Texas. She earned First Team All-District, Second Team All-District and Academic All-District. In 2017 her team won the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Class 5A state championship.
Neal’s favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Rockets. Her favorite professional athlete is Serena Williams. Neal’s hero is her godmother Aunt Little because she is a confident and helpful woman. She was able to bond with her through the love of volleyball and family.
