Men's Soccer travels to Arlington Baptist

Wiley University men's soccer completes its season-opening road trip against Arlington Baptist University at 7 p.m. Friday at Oakridge School Soccer Field.

The match will stream on the Arlington Baptist University Soccer YouTube Channel. It will be the fifth consecutive match away from home. The Wildcats are looking to bounce back after falling in their last two matches and scoring only one goal in their last three. Anthony Ulloa scored his second goal of the season against Texas A&M University-Texarkana on September 13, which evened the match and led to a tie for the Wildcats. Kevin Nievas has seen a lot of traffic at the net and made stops on nine shots in his last three matches.

Arlington Baptist (2-6-1) enters Friday's match on a two-game losing streak. Their latest was a 4-2 loss against Randall University on Tuesday. Luca Sortini leads the Patriots in scoring with six goals and two assists. Dante Buentello has seen most of the action in goal, making saves on 34 of 51 shots.

Friday's match will be the fifth between the Wildcats and Patriots. Three of the four matches have gone Wiley's way. The setback occurred on the road last season. The schools will rematch at Pemberton Field on October 3.
